Rob Roy Sardine Pate with Wholegrain or Sourdough Toast


Tip: Serve with a tomato salad on the side or top with alfalfa sprouts. 

For 2 servings you will need:

  • 1 tin of Rob Roy Sardines in oil
  • 150g low fat cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp creamed horseradish
  • lemon juice to taste
  • sea salt and freshly milled pepper
  • sprig of tarragon

Directions:

  1. Put the sardines, cottage cheese and horseradish in a food processor and whiz until it resembles a pate. 
  2. Season to taste with lemon juice, salt and pepper. 
  3. Gently stir in some chopped tarragon and serve on toasted wholemeal or sourdough bread, with a tomato salad on the side.
