Selling
The Boyne Valley Sales team services almost 3,000 outlets on the island of Ireland, on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. Our sales team is Channel focussed. We serve all Multiples, Symbols, Wholesalers, Independents and Forecourts. The Sales team sell across the range of Boyne Valley brands, Fresh and Frozen Foods, Snacks, Bodycare and Household.
Our sales and in-store team consists of:
- 5 Business Development Representatives
- 16 Boyne Valley Sales Representatives
- 3 Area Managers
- 1 General Sales Manager
The five Business Development Representatives (internally known as BDR’s) are responsible for our Central Distribution Customers (CDC’s) – (Tesco, MSVC and Superquinn). The BDR’s were introduced to maintain the market status of Boyne Valley brands through our CDC customers. They ensure that Boyne Valley brands are to the fore in these accounts, through stock pressure, shelf availability, communication of product knowledge and marketing information. Their job also includes promotion execution, secondary displays, dealing with pricing issues, category management and protection of facings.
The Boyne Valley Sales Representatives look after all of the above in their accounts plus they recommend stock holding and are responsible for order placement.
Building relationships with Store Managers plays an essential part in the role of the Boyne Valley Sales Team.
Head Office Management:
The Boyne Valley Head Office Management Team cover all Irish and some UK
Retail channels. From the smallest Independent shops through Symbol Groups to Major
Multiples, from Cash & Carry's to delivered Wholesale, to gift shops and
Airports. We also have a growing export business focussing on Mainland Europe and
the USA.
