As a leading FMCG company, we understand that we have a role to play in supporting a more sustainable future for all. For us that extends far beyond our walls and even our own teams, into our local economy, community and the world around us.
As a proud, family-owned company, looking after each other is fundamental to the way we work. We are committed to looking for ways that we can contribute more, do better, adapt and evolve.
Environmentally Friendly Alternatives
As a business, we’re committed to making it easier for everyone to be kinder to the world around us. That’s why we created GreenAware, our range of sustainable environmentally friendly household alternatives and one of our leading household brands. The range includes products that are 100% compostable, natural and plastic-free. Our whole lifecycle approach ensures that GreenAware packaging is also 100% natural, renewable and recyclable.
A Greener Environment
As members of the Organic Trust, we are dedicated to ensuring that our organic products are produced in compliance with strict organic guidelines.
Sustainable Packaging
As a business improving the environmental standards of our packaging is one of our key priorities. We are committed to embracing new technologies and choosing greener materials to allow us to do just that. Today, over 80% of our portfolio is packaged in fully recyclable materials.
As long-term members of Repak, Ireland’s leading environmental organisation, our packaging waste is recovered and recycled in compliance with government legislation. We also minimise packaging waste by using recyclable packaging.
The Highest Standards
We are committed to reducing the impact our business has on the world around us, maintaining the highest standards of sustainable and ethical production across our entire product portfolio.
We meet the highest quality standards across our portfolio for food production, as accredited by the NSAI, with the ISO009 Quality Management System.
Community
We are deeply rooted in the local economy and community. As a company we are committed to its future and to manufacturing quality Irish products. We are proud partners of ‘Love Irish Food’ and ‘Guaranteed Irish’. In recent years we have invested in local manufacturing facilities for our market-leading Curry, Jelly, Home-baking and Rapeseed Oil brands.
Energy
All of our operating sites run on 100% renewable energy generated from wind power. In this way, Boyne Valley Group is reducing its carbon dioxide emissions, helping to support a cleaner environment for all.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Our business is proud to support many local and national charities ranging from sporting and mental health to the provision of food donations for key groups around the country.
Recognising the extraordinary challenges that the last number of years have brought, we’ve supported and partnered with some of the charities and organisations affected most; those that do invaluable work in our communities at home and abroad and that have experienced significant fundraising challenges alongside increased demand for services. As a Group we have proudly supported organisations such as ALONE, Women’s Aid and the Irish Red Cross.
Year on year, we strive to find ways to improve the way we work. Whether at home or abroad, we operate in a manner in keeping with our responsibilities and our values across all areas of our business.
